PART-TIME CLERK/REPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER (RFO)

 

Wistaston Parish Council has a vacancy for a part-time Clerk/RFO to work an average of 21 hours per week, including evening meetings as required.

 

The successful candidate will be the public’s primary contact for the council, carrying out tasks allocated by the council, taking minutes of meetings and maintaining the council’s accounts (Precept of £68,730 per year). Must be IT literate and conversant with Microsoft Office. Have a suitable room to work from home with space for office equipment and storage for the Council’s files. Ideally holding a Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA), or willing to achieve it after appointment. Having some knowledge of local authority and local organisations or similar administration and of managing people would be an advantage.

 

Starting salary is National Joint Council LC2 Spinal Column 18 £15.21 per hour increasing by one SCP each year for 5 years to SCP 23 £16.67 per hour.

Wistaston in Bloom is urgently seeking volunteers, if you have any spare time and would like to be part of the group who help in keeping the village looking it's best please contact the Clerk.

Speed watch Team

Due to the pandemic the Speed watch team has not been running over the past couple of years.   As this is always an ongoing issue Wistaston Parish Council are keen to get the project back up and running and is looking for volunteers who would like to help out.  If anyone is interested in volunteering please contact the Clerk on clerk@wistastonparishcouncil.org.uk
